We would like to apologise for any disruption that may be caused to your journey.
We would like to take this opportunity to forward to all of our visitors the full statement from At-Bristol Science Centre which can found below (please note that the mention of season tickets refers to the car park only)
At-Bristol Science Centre statement for Millennium Square car park fire and temporary closure – 04/09/15.
On 3 September 2015, there was an incident in the Millennium Square car park involving a car which caught on fire; the At-Bristol team immediately evacuated the scene and alerted the Fire Brigade, who arrived directly.
The two other cars were damaged in the blaze and all the car owners have been notified. No individuals were harmed and the incident was isolated to the car park.
Following this, the car park will remain closed over the weekend and until further notice, until all of the critical systems are working correctly and the car park has had a thorough deep clean.
Specialists who have been on site today have advised that anyone whose car was in the car park during the fire, to give it a good and thorough clean from top to bottom.
For anyone holding a season ticket, At-Bristol will add on any parking days missed due to this incident to the end of season ticket contracts.
At-Bristol Science Centre remains open as usual, and alternative travel arrangements and car parks can be found here: www.at-bristol.org.uk/parking
